The Noose & Kakis ...11 Months of Fresh Air

The hit satirical news-based comedy The Noose is going from the small screen to a no-holds-barred stage performance together with some of the best stand-up comedians from Singapore and Malaysia. The Noose & Kakis: 11 Months of Fresh Air will be staged in the brand new The Theatre@MediaCorp, at 1 Stars Avenue from March 31st to April 2nd, 2016.   Since 2007, a rebel band of madcap reporters has been shaking up the news and current affairs landscape in Singapore. Calling themselves The Noose, they have neither the time nor the inclination for the tenets of journalism such as truth, fact checking or accuracy in their reporting. But what they lack in terms of credibility, they more than make up for with their sense of humour and irreverence.   Now, armed with a clutch of regional awards like Best Comedy at the Asian Television Awards and an International Emmy Awards nomination, The Noose is bringing their unique brand of comedy from television to the bright lights of the stage. Monsters of the Sea Exhibition

Monsters of the Sea aims to encourage inquiry into how massive marine beings lived in the past and present, by bringing visitors on an ocean-themed journey with life-sized animatronics displays that mimic the real-life movement and behaviour of 14 prehistoric marine creatures and two present-day sea monsters. These are accompanied by informative displays and interesting stories on mythical sea creatures.   Highlights of the exhibition include: ·Elasmosaurus (existed 83 to 72 million years ago), a marine reptile well-known for its exceptionally long neck with approximately 71 cervical vertebrae that allow for greater flexibility and control of its head ·Mosasaurus (existed 72 to 66 million years ago), which is known to weigh up to five tonnes and whose  fearsome array of teeth prevented prey from escaping its jaws ·Great White Shark, a vulnerable species whose only predator is the killer whale
